My mom (center) and two of her fab sisters in Georgetown Guyana around 1959, so lady like and sophisticated. It really was a time of manners, and taking for granted that you will be treated like a lady. Times are a bit different, Chivalry? well it depends on the guy. Manners? hard to find on the New York City subway, but it's out there. Lady like sophistication? AAAAH... this my friends is still Everywhere!
