Tribute

I. AM. OBsessed!! with the YSL tribute sandal! Last week Hautelook had a mega sale on some styles for  $300 as opposed to the usual $600-$1200 and all I can say is damn my big hoofs! not a one in my size. ( I really wanted THESE.) Anywho, I shall press on; though it has not been easy everywhere I turn there they are. Yesterday there was actually someone in the super market with the white ones. Arrrrrgh no pity for me. Here are some of the offerings, send me a pic if you get a pair.

What are you made of?

That Miuccia Prada is a trip! fruit all over the clothes AND these! Spotted and tweeted them last night, well..It's hours later and I'm still thinking about them. Did some looking around and they are sold out everywhere, there's a waiting list! Also thanks to my beloved twitter and Refinery 29 I find out there is a noteworthy knockoff  HERE.  Very reminiscent of those high heel sneakers from back in the day, or even the Manolo Timberland; to be honest I was never a fan of either of those looks. Right now I'm as confused about my feelings as this shoe is about what the heck it is. An espadrille, brogue, sneaker. One thing is for sure, it knows how to make an impression on a girl.
Other looks from the line below.
PS. It's unisex. ( I hate leaving the boys out).

SUITED UP.

I acquired the above Ralph Lauren shoes quite a few years ago, and I still love them to death! I think the fact that they are made not only from a textile, but one known for making men's suits is the coolest.  Lately there are flannel and tweed shoes everywhere, and I for one wouldn't mind another pair.

Spectacular Oxfords.

Well known combo the Spectator (two tone) and the oxford (lace ups) always cool, always elegant, and not just for the boys, has been around since the 1800's. So it's clear that these are looks that aren't going anywhere.  There are a plethora of variations to choose from. To keep it simple, I love them in a heel, and I love them in a flat for just bouncing around; any other details can be explored below.

Clog Story

I remember having a pair of red Dr. Scholl's clogs as a girl, I thought they were so fancy I just loved them. I haven't had anything that even resembles a clog since college, when I would shove my feet into a pair with socks on to run to the cafeteria. Since then clogs have changed its shape, become a bit more interesting and in some cases are even sexy.  Case in point the Clog boot, even if it's not quite your scene maybe checking these winter offerings will change your mind.
